Meet the Leaders

Kristy Eckert

Founder + Chief Strategist

A longtime journalist, Kristy is passionate about sharing meaningful stories. With a mix of warmth and high energy, she expertly guides clients to uncovering their most compelling storylines—and then igniting them. She spent several years as a reporter for The Columbus Dispatch, where she was honored by the Associated Press as the state’s best feature writer. When The Dispatch Printing Company launched its first glossy magazine, Capital Style, it tapped her to lead the publication, which eventually was named best magazine in Ohio. And her long-running Columbus Parent magazine column “The Modern Momma” was honored as one of the state’s best multiple times. Kristy, who has a master’s degree in public affairs reporting, also has worked for papers in Illinois and Colorado, and her writing has been featured in publications from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution to USA Weekend. You’ll often find her at a ballgame, on her yoga mat or thoroughly enjoying Taco Tuesday with her family.

Amy Carruthers

Creative Storytelling Strategist

Equal parts creative guru and practical problem-solver, Amy is an award-winning photographer and designer who thrives on elevating people’s stories with strategic thinking and powerful visuals. Amy is an accomplished photographer who has captured a multitude of people, places and events across the country, from CEOs to celebrity homes. Her aesthetic acumen translates to thoughtful and exceptional graphic design, too. Having studied both journalism and art, she excels at seeing and sharing stories in compelling ways. Her many other passions include hiking, porch time, taking pictures of her sleeping dog and laughing at all her husband’s jokes (even when she’s heard them a thousand times).
